Payment Policy

Confirmation

A valid credit or debit card is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.

Why Book Direct?

Enjoy our Best Price Guarantee, priority room allocation, and no credit card surcharges when booking direct with us.

For cash payments, a refundable security bond may be required for the duration of the stay to cover any damages, excessive cleaning, lost keys, smoking/vaping breaches, or unpaid charges.

Confirmed Guest Numbers

Guaranteed minimum guest numbers for group or multi-room bookings are required fourteen (14) days prior to arrival. Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least two (2) working days prior to arrival.

Charges may be based on the confirmed guest numbers or the actual number of guests staying, whichever is greater.

Price Variations

All prices are current at the time of booking and every effort is made to maintain quoted rates. However, prices are subject to change without notice, particularly for bookings made well in advance or during periods of high demand.

Insurance and Guest Responsibility

Guests and organisers are financially responsible for any loss, damage, excessive cleaning, or breakages caused by themselves or their visitors during their stay.

While we take reasonable care, Cranford Cottages and Motel accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings, vehicles, or items left on the property before, during, or after your stay.

Guests are responsible for room keys issued to them. Lost keys may result in replacement charges, including lock replacement where required.

Packages and Deliveries

If you intend to send parcels, packages, or equipment to the property prior to arrival, please notify us in advance.

We are not responsible for items delivered without prior arrangement or for any loss or damage to parcels received on behalf of guests.

Payment Terms / Credit Facilities

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the booking guest or organiser is responsible for all additional charges incurred during the stay, including damages, excessive cleaning, lost keys, or other services requested during the stay.

Room Allocation

We reserve the right to reallocate rooms where necessary due to operational requirements or circumstances beyond our control.

If guest numbers significantly increase or decrease from the original reservation, we may allocate a more suitable room type where required. Any major changes will be discussed with the booking guest where possible.

Responsibility

Should we be unable to provide the reserved accommodation due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice and discuss alternative arrangements where available.

Health and Safety

Guests must comply with all reasonable health and safety instructions provided by management during their stay.

All guests and visitors are expected to behave in a safe and respectful manner while on the property.

GST

All prices quoted include New Zealand GST (Goods and Services Tax).

Security and Liability

Guests are responsible for the security of their personal belongings, vehicles, and accommodation during their stay.

Vehicles and personal items are left on the property at the owner’s risk.


Cancellation


Flexible Rate Plans

All cancellations must be made in writing.

Flexible bookings cancelled within 48 hours (2 days) prior to check-in may be charged up to the full cost of the reservation.


Non-Refundable Rate Plans

Non-refundable bookings are charged at the time of booking and cannot be cancelled, amended, transferred, or refunded.

If you are unsure of your travel plans, we recommend selecting a flexible rate.


🐾 In-House Dog Policy 🐾 Welcome to our pet-friendly motel! To ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following policy when bringing your dog: Leash Requirement: All dogs must be kept on a leash when outside your room or in any public areas of the motel. This helps ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests and their pets. No Unattended Pets: For the safety and well-being of your dog, please do not leave them unattended in your room. If you need to step out, we ask that you take your dog with you. Cleaning Up: Please be responsible for cleaning up after your dog. Waste disposal stations are available on the premises for your convenience. Keeping the property clean is a priority for everyone’s comfort. Control at All Times: Dogs must remain under the control of their owners at all times. This includes preventing excessive barking or any behavior that may disturb other guests. Charges for Damage: Any damage caused by your dog to the room, furniture, or property will result in additional charges. We ask that you take care to prevent any accidents or damage during your stay. Pet Surcharge: A one-time $15 surcharge will apply to cover additional cleaning and maintenance costs associated with your pet's stay.
